to celebrate the dual sports of the 80s
The calendar of Hat Series is enriched with a new event: the first weekend of October awaits you HAT LEGEND, an event dedicated to enthusiasts and lovers of off-road motorcycles from the 1980s, sponsored by the FMI, which will combine adventure, history and the timeless beauty of the Alps.
A unique opportunity to celebrate and relive the golden age of road enduro through a Marathon non-competitive, which includes a circular route with departure and arrival in Garessio; a village, in Boves, with an exhibition area dedicated to iconic models of the 80s; an event within the event, on Saturday evening, with glorious characters from yesterday and today who will tell their relationship with those jewels. Finally, a “beauty contest” that will reward the most representative motorcycles.
La Marathon
The itinerary of the Hat Legend, we said, will start and arrive at garessio, for years the starting point of the HardAlpiTour (CN) and will provide for the most part military dirt roads or ski resort service roads. We are talking about a series of steps (15 in total), for a total of 280 km, on mythical routes such as the Salt Road and the suggestive ones Marenche Streets, with a turning point at Boves (CN)Participants will travel in total autonomy, following a GPX track.
On Saturday the routes will be covered several sections of the first editions of the Hardalpitour, passing through Colle di Nava, Colle di Garezzo and then tackling the Via del Sale, one of the longest and most fascinating dirt roads in Italy. In total there will be about 160 km, with eight passes.
On Sunday you will reach Garessio by following the Marenche roads that lead from Cuneo to the sea, passing through the ski areas of Artesina and Prato Nevoso. About 120 km, 7 steps.
The Village
On Saturday evening the caravan of the HAT Legend will stop in the municipality of Boves (CN), exactly in his heart, in Italy Square: here a village will come to life where preparers, motorcycle clubs, associations and private individuals will exhibit their motorcycle most significant. To warm up the atmosphere (in addition to the great convivial dinner), there will be then the images of the protagonists (men and vehicles) of the legendary 80s that will scroll on the ledwall focusing on and curiosities that will revive the golden age of dual sports. Finally, in a event within event, exclusive, which will take place in a dedicated structure, you will also be able to attend the stories of characters from yesterday and today who have written important pages in the history of off-road inspiring generations of off-roaders who will share experiences and memories.
The Contest
The highlight of Saturday evening will be the voting of the “Best in show”, a contest that will turn the spotlight on the absolute protagonists of the event, the motorcycles, which will be submitted to the judgement of a jury of experts and a popular one.
These will decree and then reward the three most beautiful, according to different criteria:
- Originality: How true to the original factory specifications the bike is.
- Restoration: The quality and accuracy of the restoration.
- Storage: The state of conservation of the original parts.
- Customization: Presence of creative and distinctive details.
- Aesthetics: The overall look of the bike, the harmony of the shapes and the quality of the finishes.
- Rarity: The rarity and historical value of the model.
Motorcycles allowed
La HAT LEGEND is reserved for dual sport motorcycles of any displacement, 4-stroke, exits from the manufacturer by 1990 (subsequent evolutions are also permitted), without weight limits. Any exceptions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Exhibition area
Moto Clubs, associations, customizers, and private individuals can participate by exhibiting a motorcycle to nominate for the beauty contest. Attendance with your own gazebo is free.

To participate in the HAT LEGEND no membership required.
The receipt issued for participation in the event is exempt from VAT in accordance with current legislation, as it is an institutional event organized by the Association.
- Single registration: €280,00 if made by 30/06/2025, after this date €300,00.
- Group discount (from 2 to 5 participants): €270,00 per participant, valid exclusively for registrations made by 30/06/2025 after this date €300,00.
- Discounts reserved for motorcycle clubs and associations that register a minimum of ten registrations (send email to: hatlegend@over2000riders. Com).

REGISTRATION AND REFUND
- Online registration for the event is a simple reservation valid for two weeks. After two weeks, if payment is not made, the reservation will be cancelled.
- Participation is confirmed only when the bank transfer is credited to the account Over2000riders and you will have received the confirmation email, complete with payment receipt.
- The registration fee includes only logistical support through, refreshment points and medical assistance.
- Mechanical assistance is not provided, but only the recovery of the vehicles according to the methods previously indicated.
- Participants will have to sign a liability waiver document, a document necessary to protect the civil liability of the Organization, which will provide only logistical support through refreshment points and health care.
- The organization reserves the right to exclude, for safety reasons, motorcycles that do not comply with the requirements suitable for the Adven tourism discipline.touring and use on natural roads, including the fitting of tyres not suitable for off-roading.roadParticipants are advised to check that their vehicle complies with the characteristics required to safely tackle the route.
- Each participant must provide the necessary equipment to replace the inner tubes and, if necessary, repair the tubeless tires of their vehicle.
- Appropriate clothing for off-road driving (boots, protection, etc.) and for possible climatic changes is essential.
- For safety reasons, the presence of the passenger is not possible.
The registration fee is only intended to reimburse expenses for the organization of the event, such as; registration to the association, preparation of refreshment points, health care, doctors and Croce Verde, rental of equipment for tracking participants, preparation of starting and finishing points, advertising material for the event (shirts, gadgets, etc.).
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the Organization may decide to change the program of the event both before the start and during its execution.
In the opinion of the Organization, in the event of changes related to new legislative provisions regulating access and transit on the possible routes, the event may undergo changes to the program both before the start of the same and during its progress.
Such changes will not be grounds for members to request any type of compensation for the participation fee or part of it.
With the start of the departure of the first group of participants, the event is considered to have started (for all categories), therefore, possible changes to the program and any subsequent suspensions will not constitute a reason for requesting a refund of the participation fee.

NOTE:
Overnight stays are at the expense of the participants. Given the tourist nature of the areas, it is advisable to book well in advance.
GENERAL INFORMATIONS
This edition is held under the auspices of the IMF.
Upon registration for the event, each participant, after having delivered all the required documents, will receive a package containing gadgets and refreshment tickets.
At the designated refreshment points, each participant must hand over the ticket to obtain a drink.
Regularly registered participants will be sent the final detailed program by email before the event with: addresses, times and everything necessary for participation, as well as the GPS track (in .GPX format) containing the route and any variations, refreshment points.
When crossing residential areas and near refreshment points, we ask you to behave respectfully, proceeding at a very low speed, avoiding unnecessary annoying noises and turning off the motorcycles as soon as you stop. In short, using common sense.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
The certificate of participation will be given to all participants who return to Garessio.
GPS TRACKS
Participants formally undertake not to disclose GPS tracks to third parties. of the route or of the one taken, in order to avoid that these itineraries are travelled with behaviours and attitudes not in line with those of the Association.
IMAGE PROCESSING AUTHORIZATION
Each participant acknowledges that his/her participation in the event authorizes the Organization and its assignees or other qualified parties to capture and store, on any medium and by any means, to reproduce and subsequently represent, without compensation, his/her name and surname, voice, image, biography and more generally, his/her performances in the event, as well as the trademarks of the equipment manufacturers and sponsors in any form on any existing or future means of communication, in any format, for any communication to the public throughout the world, for any use including advertising and/or commercial use and without any other limitations than those indicated below.
The Organization or other qualified subjects may exploit the still or audiovisual images of the event for any use other than advertising and/or commercial purposes and the promotion of the Event is not considered as a commercial exploitation for the period of protection currently granted to these types of use.
The Organization will not use or authorize the use of an individual participant's image in the context of the marketing of derivative products, known as merchandising, without the express authorization of the participant himself.
