HAT DISCOVERY:
The real “Entry Level”, perfect for those approaching adventouring. Duration: two days.
HAT CLASSIC:
The traditional “Adventure”, which fully embodies the spirit of theHAT. Duration: two days.
HAT EXTREME:
Designed for the most daring motorcyclists, this category includes 36 hours of driving, with two night sessions and a limited number of registrations. Duration: three days
These categories include the 100% stamp MARATHON PRIZE, which certifies the completion of the entire track without cuts and in compliance with the secret checkpoints.
HAT MASTER CHALLENGE:
An exclusive and challenging formula, dedicated to expert motorcyclists who have already participated in at least one HAT.

Duration: three days approximately 40 hours of driving, with two night sessions.

A complete briefing to tackle the HAT
During the morning, at the historic Fortress of Santa Tecla In Sanremo, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Attend a in-depth briefing, designed to provide a clear strategy on how to tackle the route and successfully reach the final destination, Sestriere.
- To delve deeper into the aspects related to navigation and its tools, with practical sessions on how to use your GPS or navigation App. It will also be possible to upload the GPX file of the route with the support of our experts.
La Fortress of Santa Tecla, located a few steps from the sea in the old port of Sanremo, represents a historical and cultural landmark. Built in the 18th century to protect the city, today it is an iconic place perfect for welcoming participants and introducing them to the spirit of the HAT.
Afternoon: Practical field tests
In the afternoon, participants will move to an area dedicated to practical tests, with a off-road route.
Accompanied by our AICS Instructors, will have the opportunity to:
- Receive personalized technical advice to improve your off-road driving skills.road.
- Put into practice the notions learned during the morning in a safe and controlled environment.
- Prepare yourself as best you can to face the challenges of the journey that will begin the next day.

THE ROUTE: FROM SANREMO TO SESTRIERE
The 2025 edition starts again from the splendid city of Sanremo, from the suggestive Carlo Dapporto SquareThe first part of the route winds through the Ligurian hinterland, touching the characteristic towns of Bajardo, Apricale and Pigna, then continuing along the suggestive stretches of the Marenche Streets, much appreciated in previous editions, and the famous Salt Road, reserved for categories Master Challenge ed Extreme. A journey that combines challenge, beauty and the essence of adventuretouring.
A SPECIAL STAGE FOR MASTER CHALLENGE ED EXTREME
The categories Master Challenge ed Extreme will include a special stop at garessio, which represents a fundamental moment of the journey:
- Motocross field test: A exclusive news for 2025, offers participants the opportunity to tackle a technical course, experiencing the thrill and challenge of this new experience.
- Lunch in Garessio: A moment of refreshment to regenerate and enjoy the hospitality of the place.
- Equipped rest area: A dedicated space to relax before tackling the second part of the route.
DINNER AND SUPPORT CAMP IN BOVES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
The day will end with a Calculator in Piazza Italia in Boves, a mountain village immersed in the heart of the Alps. This moment will be the occasion to share the experiences of the day in a convivial and suggestive environment.
Participants will also be able to stay overnight independently at the Boves covered market, a functional solution to recover energy and prepare yourself for the next day.

Sestriere, with its crisp air and breathtaking views at 2035 meters above sea level in the heart of the Alps, famous for its ski slopes and breathtaking views will be the ideal setting to celebrate the arrival of the participants. Our Departures Stage will transform into the Arrivals Stage, creating a unique atmosphere to celebrate the finish line of this extraordinary adventure.”
On the square, from 13:00, a welcome break to offer refreshments to participants, while from 16:00 pm the following will be delivered:

- First day: The route follows that of the Classic, with free overnight stay at the participant's expense in the area BovesThe evening includes a dinner in the characteristic Piazza Italia, in the heart of Boves.
- Second day:The adventure continues on the roads of the track Classic, enriched by new dirt sections. A mix of asphalt and off-road will take participants to live a unique and unforgettable experience, with a breakfast break at the majestic Abbey of Santa Maria di Staffarda. The arrival in Sestriere, on Sunday morning, will be celebrated in a festive atmosphere.

Night driving, with its moonlit landscapes, will make the experience even more unforgettable. Challenging climbs, technical descents and ancient villages await you. As a team, you can share the thrill of a limitless adventure, supporting each other. Don't miss the Pigna refreshment point, in the heart of the historic village, with artisanal Ligurian specialties, and the Pomaretto in Piedmont, perfect for a rich buffet breakfast. With assistance including refreshments, logistical and medical support, you will be ready to face any challenge. Saturday evening dinner in the characteristic Piazza Italia in the heart of Boves. Possibility of an independent overnight stop at the covered market.

EXTREME
Get ready to live an unforgettable experience! The category Extreme of HAT Sanremo Sestriere awaits you for a one-of-a-kind challenge. We will set off in the heart of the night Friday night from Sanremo, ready to challenge the Ligurian and Piedmont Alps.
Only 140 motorcyclists will have the opportunity to tackle over 900 kilometres to be covered in just over 40/42 hours, including two challenging night stages, this is aunique opportunity reserved for a select few to live aextreme experience and unforgettable. The route has been designed to offer a perfect mix of adrenaline and discovery. Technical routes, challenging passages and significant differences in altitude will test the skills of each participant. Saturday afternoon will feature a ride on the motocross course in the vicinity of Garessio. The passage from Mount Fraiteve Point (2.702 m above sea level) will be a highlight, with a breathtaking view and an adrenaline-filled descent towards Sestriere. Despite the difficulties of the route, the organization will guarantee full support to participants. Strategic refreshment points, logistical and medical assistance. Furthermore, a dedicated rest/stop point Saturday in Garessio will allow participants to recover their energy before tackling the second part of the route. A THREE DAY LONG CHALLENGE
Unlike the version introduced in the HAT Pavia-Sanremo, here the Master Challenge extends over three days, including two nights in intermediate stage, for a complete and immersive experience. The route starts from the splendid Sanremo and winds through dirt roads, natural background e technical features, offering a perfect mix of adrenaline and discovery.
News 2025: One of the most anticipated stages is the test on the Garessio motocross field, introduced this year. This section represents a unique opportunity for participants to test their skills on a technical course and experience the thrill of this experience for the first time.
As in the previous edition, a equipped tented camp reserved for this category. A unique place that combines atmosphere of sharing and moments of relaxation, providing a strategic point for rest and refreshment, essential to best face the challenge. REQUIREMENTS
To participate, the following is required: participation in at least one previous edition of the HAT, a distinctive sign for those who have already experienced the spirit of the adventouring.
PATH
La Master Challenge proposes a route of over 900 kilometres, characterised by a series of variants and deviations from the main route of the Extreme, ensuring a more technical and challenging driving experience. The adventure will begin on Friday evening in Sanremo and will end on Sunday on the arrival stage in Sestriere, after 45 hours of uninterrupted challenge
MASTER CHALLENGE: THE FORMULA
The new edition of the Master Challenge introduces a number of unique features:
- Time controls on passage and secrets.
- Routes to travel without GPS
- Navigation and regularity challenges.
- Motocross field test
- Maximum number of participants: 40.

SECURITY
We recommend that participants in the category HAT Master Challenge to stop and sleep in Sestriere at the end of the event. A night's rest will allow you to recharge your batteries and face the return journey in complete safety. In the INFO section you will find the list of partner hotels.
REGULATION MASTER CHALLENGE
The present Rules applies to the category MASTER CHALLENGE and must be respected by all participants.
FIND TRACK
In the sectors Find Track, the route is not visible on the main GPS track. Participants must reach the WAYPOINT FIND TRACK (WP) in progressive numerical order, using the provided GPX file and your GPS instrument, device or application.
- Waypoint Validation: For each waypoint (WP) reached and validated, a 1 tokens.
- Prohibition of recovering lost Waypoints: For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden to proceed in the opposite direction to recover lost waypoints after reaching the next one.
GATE (TIME SECTORS)
I Gate These are specific areas of the route where participants' times are precisely measured.
- Stretch to be covered: Each Gate is defined by a starting point (Start gate) and a point of arrival (End gate). These details are indicated in the table provided at the time of registration.
- Establish time: Each section has a minimum and maximum time limit within which the participant must complete the route, indicated in the table.
- Tolerance: A tolerance of 100% is applied to the times indicated. ±5 minutes. In case of adverse weather conditions, the Technical Management may increase the maximum time by a further 10 min.
- Token Assignment: For each Gate completed within the established time, you will be awarded 5 tokens.
SECRET CHECKPOINTS
Along the main track there are some Secret Check Points to monitor the transit of participants.
- Waypoint Validation: Each validated waypoint will guarantee 1 tokens.
- Validation area: Each waypoint has a circular validation area with a radius of 100 meters. Transiting within this area is required to validate the waypoint.
TRACKING SYSTEM (TRACKER)
The tracking system via Tracker It is essential for the validation of Waypoints and Gates.
- Full speed: To validate a Waypoint or a Gate, the participant's speed must not exceed 20 km/h during the passage.
- Time Recording: The arrival time in the selective sectors is automatically recorded via the “flying passage” tracker. It is not necessary to stop, but only to respect the indicated speed.
CERTIFICATE OF MASTER OF ADVENTOURING
The certificate of Master of Adventourhing will be awarded to participants who have respected all the criteria of the regulation and accumulated the minimum number of tokens required by the organization.

Some itineraries are authorized exclusively for events and must not be used on other occasions. Following these routes outside of events could lead to sanctions and environmental or relational damage to local communities, making the organization of Adven eventstouring increasingly problematic.

HAT SERIES: SAFETY FIRST - What's New in 2025
To ensure maximum safety during events HAT Series, in 2025 we will adopt a new tracking software, already used in international competitions.
This system offers important advantages:
- Increased reliability in receiving and transmitting data.
- Lower battery consumption, ensuring continuous monitoring without interruptions.

We have decided to continue using a tracking system via dedicated trackers rather than a smartphone application. This choice is based on several advantages:
- Superior reliability: Trackers are designed to ensure optimal functioning, minimizing the risk of device-related malfunctions.
- Energy saving: Using a smartphone app would result in increased battery consumption of the participant's personal device, increasing the risk of interruptions in tracking.
- Guaranteed safety: Trackers provide consistent location tracking accuracy, which is critical for events of this magnitude.
OUR STAFF: THE FORCE BEHIND SANREMO-SESTRIERE
- To ensure maximum safety and the success of the event, the route will be covered by a highly organized health care network, consisting of 5 Croce Verde teams, doctors, nurses and logistics personnel operating on 8 4×4 vehicles and 10 motorcycles.
- Behind the success of the HAT Sanremo – Sestriere is an extraordinary group of 60 people, who work tirelessly to ensure that every aspect, from security to logistics, runs smoothly.
- A crucial role is played by our Technical Management, composed of a dedicated team of six professionals.
This team coordinates all activities, from setting up the Village to the event itself. During the event, the team constantly monitors participants' trackers, manages SOS calls and responds promptly to requests for clarification or assistance. Furthermore, it effectively coordinates all rescue and logistical resources, ensuring timely and organized intervention in case of emergencies. - Thanks to the synergic work of these professionals and the dedication of each member of the staff, the Sanremo-Sestriere represents an example of organizational excellence and safety for all participants.

To participate in the HAT SANREMO – SESTRIERE it is mandatory to be a member Over2000riders + AICS, following the procedure indicated on the “Joining the Association” page.
The cost of membership is € 60,00 and includes the card AICS 2025 with the related insurance benefits and economic agreements at national level.
The receipt issued for participation in the event is exempt from VAT in accordance with current legislation, as it is an institutional event organized by the Association.

- The AICS card will be issued starting from the tenth day after the date of payment of the registration fee and will be usable from that date.

- Online registration for the event is a simple reservation valid for two weeks. After two weeks, if payment is not made, the reservation will be cancelled.

The registration fee is only intended to reimburse expenses for the organization of the event, such as; registration to the association, preparation of refreshment points, health care, doctors and Croce Verde, rental of equipment for tracking participants, preparation of starting and finishing points, advertising material for the event (shirts, gadgets, etc.).
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the Organization may decide to change the program of the event both before the start and during its execution.
In the opinion of the Organization, in the event of changes related to new legislative provisions regulating access and transit on the possible routes, the event may undergo changes to the program both before the start of the same and during its progress.
Such changes will not be grounds for members to request any type of compensation for the participation fee or part of it.
With the start of the departure of the first group of participants, the event is considered to have started (for all categories), therefore, possible changes to the program and any subsequent suspensions will not constitute a reason for requesting a refund of the participation fee.

OVERNIGHT STAYS
Overnight stays are at the participants' expense.
Given the touristic nature of the areas, it is advisable to book well in advance, especially in Boves.
REGULATION
- DISCOVERY: Participation is permitted both individually that in groups of 2-5 participants.
- CLASSIC: Participation is permitted exclusively to groups of 2-5 participants.
- EXTREME: Participation is permitted exclusively to groups of 2-5 participants.
CHALLENGE:
Participation is permitted exclusively to pilots who have already taken part in at least one edition of the HAT. The departure is individual, but those who wish can share the experience by traveling in a group with a friend. However, it is specified that:
- The departure remains individual.
- Scores and certificates are awarded on a personal level.
- No teams are expected.
STARTING ORDER
- For categories DISCOVERY / CLASSIC / EXTREME, group participation The starting order will be assigned based on the registration date following the “first come, first served” principle. Pay the registration fee now (full group) to secure a head start!
- For categories DISCOVERY (single participation) and CHALLENGE,
the starting order will be determined by the date of payment of the participation fee - Anyone who is not present at their starting turn will start at the end of the last group.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS – ALLOWED MOTORCYCLES
- Type: Multi-cylinder on- and off-road motorcycles and non-specialist single-cylinder motorcycles.
- Weight: Higher than 150 kg.
- Lighting system: In perfect working order.
- Compliance: Motorcycles must comply with the regulations of the Highway Code.
- The organization reserves the right to exclude, for safety reasons, motorcycles that do not comply with the requirements suitable for the Adven tourism disciplinetouring and use on natural roads, including the fitting of tyres not suitable for off-roading.roadParticipants are advised to check that their vehicle complies with the characteristics required to safely tackle the route.
- Each participant must provide the necessary equipment to replace the inner tubes and, if necessary, repair the tubeless tires of their vehicle.

Exceptions to the weight limit:
- Mixed groups: One motorcycle per group weighing less than 150 kg is permitted.
- Exceptions can be requested from the Technical Management for non-specialist motorcycles weighing less than 150 kg.
- Female pilot: Female riders can participate with motorcycles under 150 kg.
- Minors: Minor riders can participate with motorcycles under 150 kg, accompanied by a parent.
- It is possible to request waivers to the Technical Direction for non-specialist motorcycles weighing less than 150 kg.
- For the scooter, there is no weight limit, but they must be properly prepared and have an engine capacity greater than 125cc.
RECORDING:
- The recordings will take place exclusively on Friday afternoon in Sanremo from 11: 00 to 18: 30.
- Punctuality: Maximum punctuality is required.
- Units: All members of the group must show up together. The presence of only one member is accepted (but not recommended), who will be responsible for delivering and collecting the documentation for the entire group
- Welcome Shopper
Upon registration, after having delivered all the required documents, each participant will receive a Welcome Shopper containing: - Official T-shirt event.

Documents to be submitted at registration:

GPS location tracking system
- Tracker delivery: The tracker will be delivered upon registration.
- Deposit: Requires a security deposit of € 100 to be paid in cash.
- Refund of deposit: The deposit will be returned to Sanremo upon return of the device.
In case of non-return:
- The tracker must be sent to the organization, with the sender paying the costs.
- In case of loss, damage o failure to return, the deposit will be retained as compensation.
GENERAL INFORMATIONS
- The event takes place under the aegis of AICS – Italian Association of Sport Culture, under the patronage of the Regions Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria.
- The departure will take place from the city of Sanremo (IM), with an intermediate stop at Boves (CN) and the arrival to Sestriere (Turin) for all categories.
- Saturday Overnight: The participants of the category Discovery overnight stay in the Boves area (at the participant's expense).
- Return logistics: Participants with vans or trailers must organize their own return. The distance between Sanremo and Sestriere is approximately 350 km on asphalt road.
MEMBERSHIP AND INSURANCE
By subscribing to Over2000riders + AICS, participants have access to the insurance policies provided for the event. Details can be found on the official AICS website: http://motociclismo.aics.it/.
PROGRAM AND GPS TRACKS
- By the 01/09/2025, regularly registered participants will receive by email:
- Detailed plan: with addresses, opening hours and other useful information.
- By the 04/09/2025, regularly registered participants will receive by email:
- Track in GPX format: route, variants, refreshment points.
For the category Master Challenge, the GPX track containing the Waypoints of the hourly and secret control points and the sections with interrupted track will be sent by email on the morning of departure.

BEHAVIOUR OF PARTICIPANTS
Participants are required to:
- Proceed at reduced speed in built-up areas and near refreshment points.
- Avoid making disturbing noises and turn off engines during stops.
- Maintain respectful behavior, using common sense.

100% MARATHON PRIZE
To the participants of the categories Discovery, Classic, Extreme who have completed the entire route respecting the secret checkpoints will be awarded the 100% stamp MARATHON PRIZE.
MASTER OF ADVENTOURING
The participants in the Master Challenge who respect all the time and secret checkpoints, and reach the required score, will receive the certificate of MASTER OF ADVENTOURING.
The organizers reserve the right to send the stamp and certificate after the conclusion of the event, in digital format.
SECURITY
- During the event, the location tracking service will be active 24 hours a day. “Tracker – GSM”, equipped with SOS button with automatic sending of the position.
- The system is provided by a specialized external company and managed by our Technical Service which is active continuously for the entire duration of the event.
- Category Discovery (single participation) e Master Challenge: Individual tracker.
- Category Classic / Extreme: One tracker per group. (minimum 2 participants max. 5)
- Bail Tracker: €100 to be paid in cash, which will be returned to Sestriere upon return of the device. In case of failure to return, the tracker must be sent to the organization at the sender's expense. In case of loss, damage or failure to return, the deposit will be retained as compensation.
- Participants registered as a group who return the device are all considered to have definitively withdrawn from the event.
GPS TRACKS
The tracks in GPX format are the property of OVER2000RIDERS and their disclosure to third parties or publication on the internet is strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in the permanent exclusion of those responsible from future events organized HAT o OVER2000 RIDERS.
- Some itineraries are authorized exclusively for the event and their use outside this context could result in sanctions.
- This measure is taken to ensure compliance with local regulations and preserve the values of the association.
AUTHORIZATION FOR THE PROCESSING OF IMAGES
Each participant acknowledges that his/her participation in the event authorizes the Organization and its assignees or other qualified parties to capture and store, on any medium and by any means, to reproduce and subsequently represent, without compensation, his/her name and surname, voice, image, biography and more generally, his/her performances in the event, as well as the trademarks of the equipment manufacturers and sponsors in any form on any existing or future means of communication, in any format, for any communication to the public throughout the world, for any use including advertising and/or commercial use and without any other limitations than those indicated below.
The Organization or other qualified subjects may exploit the still or audiovisual images of the event for any use other than advertising and/or commercial purposes and the promotion of the Event is not considered as a commercial exploitation for the period of protection currently granted to these types of use.
The Organization will not use or authorize the use of an individual participant's image in the context of the marketing of derivative products, known as merchandising, without the express authorization of the participant himself.
