 THE 8TH EDITION OF THE COMPETITION HAS BEEN CONCLUDED HAT VOGHERA-SANREMO

 Another great success for the now classicto of theHAT Series with over 180 pilots at the start New longer and more challenging routes

And there are eight. That's how many editions there are in the annals of the HAT Pavia Sanremo, which has become HAT Voghera Sanremo for obvious reasons. An adventure trip that has already found a strong identity in the world of adventure enthusiasts.touring and above all of those who know the HAT. 

A challenging test, with some challenging sections due to the very different conditions of the territories crossed. This year, in three different versions, the Challenge, the Classic , Discovery, in the two days we saw distances ranging from 600 km for the first to 500 km for the third which aims to be more affordable.

And as per tradition, there were plenty of now-iconic sections, such as Costa Vescovato, above Tortona, the Voltaggio, Monesiglio, and Saliceto woods on the first day, and then Colle Melogno, the climb up Aquila d'Arroscia, and all the final spectacular sections from the Garezzo Tunnel to Molini di Triora. All these are places of a lesser-known part of Italy, largely unknown to the general public, but have become a hub of fun and excitement for cycling enthusiasts. HAT and of the adventouring.

Offering participants diverse scenery and views, exploring uncharted roads and terrain on routes far from the beaten track yet so close to our homes, discovering unspoiled nature and unexpected historical sites at the bottom of hidden, lesser-known valleys. This is the spirit of marathon HAT.

This eighth edition immediately featured the novelty of gathering approximately 180 participants at Hangar 1821, located right next to the small Rivanazzano airport. This welcoming facility is ideal for an adventure event, offering the perfect atmosphere and the extraordinary opportunity to ride a few laps on the large off-road track in complete freedom. An experience worth repeating. Furthermore, the collaboration with Hangar 18-21 was extended with the registration of a team of ten riders who used a special sustainable fuel produced by Aspen Group for their bikes, which emits no harmful emissions. This was a demonstration of reliability, in full keeping with the "green" spirit that characterizes all the events. HAT Series have been adopting it in a pioneering way for some years.

On Saturday morning, after setting off from Voghera's prestigious Piazza Duomo, the participants embarked on the three planned routes, each with increasing difficulty, and reached their new intermediate destination in Ceva (Cuneo) in the late afternoon. Here, a convivial dinner with live music entertained the participants.  The group of riders set off early on Sunday morning for Sanremo, facing an even longer and more demanding day. The mountain routes became more technical, and the riders confirmed this. In the end, after the usual ups and downs and adventures typical of these trips, the hours in the saddle were long, covering the day's 250 km. But in Portosole di Sanremo, the only things to see were happy and smiling faces.

Another one HAT Voghera Sanremo was completed to everyone's satisfaction.  

The organization of over 30 staff members with multiple roles worked as always toovere. Everything went perfectly according to plan, with incredible and punctual commitment. Safety has always been a priority for events. HAT, was ensured through Owaka satellite trackers for direct connection with each participant along the routes, integrated with the WIP Live app and a complex system of vehicles and assistants on the ground, consisting of 4x4 vehicles from the Technical Management and support team, a doctor in a 4x4, and two motorcycle rescuers. An off-road unit from the Croce Verde was also present.

It is finally doverI would like to thank the local authorities, not only the regions of Lombardy, Piedmont, and Liguria that have granted their patronage, but also the provinces of Pavia, Alessandria, Cuneo, Savona, and Imperia, the municipalities of Voghera, Ceva, and Sanremo, as well as the numerous municipalities crossed during this edition.

Thanks also to the Partners HAT SERIES, who contributed to the best organization of the event: Yamaha (present with a team of 3 riders), Shad (with its assistance to the scouts HAT), Dunlop (with its tyres), Klim, Enduristan, Mytech, MBE and the new entry QD Exhaust, which saw its owners, father and son, Manuel and Edoardo Di Liso, present and participating.
