CODE OF ETHICS
CODE OF ETHICS
The code of conduct for conscious, sustainable and respectful off-roading.
The Adventouring, off-road tourism, is often pointed out as incompatible with environmental protection and recreational activities related to nature in general. This happens because a minority of people practice off-road with behaviors that often contravene the norms and rules of respect for other users.
On the basis of these considerations, the discipline of Adventouring has adopted a code of conduct (Code of Ethics) for responsible, sustainable, and respectful off-road riding. The rules of the Code of Ethics were developed by experts from the Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI), who boast thirty years of experience riding the dirt roads, mule tracks, and trails that crisscross our peninsula. They are also inspired by the principles of common sense and respect for others, as well as appropriate technical and safety guidelines.
The FMI has made them its own and is the institutional guarantor appointed to ensure the most correct practice of the discipline on the national territory. The commitment for everyone is to guarantee compliance with the rules of the Code of Ethics during the course of the events. Only in this way can the future development of Adven be ensured.touring.
The Code of Ethics, represents for OVER2000RIDERS It is not just an exercise in goodwill and good intentions, but rather a continuous self-assessment to evaluate the intentions, attitudes, and behaviors of all those who participate in any capacity in the life of the Organization.
It therefore becomes important to participate in the initiatives of OVER2000RIDERS, to be able to self-critically accept some questions:
- Am I acting with honesty, integrity, loyalty, and responsibility?
- Am I complying with regulations and laws?
- Does my behavior favor users of other businesses?
- Am I protecting the value of the surrounding environment?
- Do my attitudes help prevent environmental risks?
- Am I available for awareness-raising and training activities?
- Can I do what I'm doing more sustainably?
