are addressed to riders of twin-cylinder or single-cylinder motorcycles by Adventourhing
with any level of experience.

The practical navigation course offers a unique opportunity to learn the most effective techniques for reading and following a GPX track on your device while riding a motorcycle off-road.

The aim of the course is to make navigating GPX tracks on your motorbike easier, more intuitive and more fun, whether for short excursions with friends, adventurous trips or Adven events.touring like the HAT Series. Participants will acquire fundamental practical skills to tackle any type of track.

Followed by the AICS instructors and guides of the HAT Series, participants will put into practice the knowledge they have learned by navigating a track in the different modes provided by the instruments (smartphones, tablets or Garmin devices).

The course, held by AICS qualified instructors and guides takes place in the Sezzadio (AL) school camp.

For those who are new to GPS navigation on GPX tracks, it is possible to request the rental of universal attachments and/or navigation devices.

Necessary material:

  • Motorcycle and clothing suitable for off-road use.
  • Garmin device (Montana, Zumo etc.) or Smartphone / Tablet with Osmand installed.
  • Holder for navigation device installed on the motorcycle.
  • Power and data transmission cable for the instrument.
  • Maps installed on the navigation device.

Morning:
The morning will focus on the different existing GPX track cases and how to deal with them. We will analyze how to interpret the cartography on your device more easily and quickly, making navigation more intuitive and safe.
Various navigation styles (Compass/Cap, Waypoint, Track) will be compared with the aim of adopting the best technique for the right occasion.

Afternoon:
In the afternoon, each participant will have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned by following a section of the track assigned by the instructor, with the aim of perfecting their technique and minimizing errors.
In addition to following the track, some navigation and waypoint management exercises will be included.
Finally, we will analyze together the most common mistakes and share practical strategies to avoid them in the future, transforming every mistake into an opportunity for growth.

To participate you need to be a member Over2000riders + AICS, according to the formula indicated on the page “Membership in the Association”.
The basic cost of joining the association is €60,00 and also includes the AICS membership card.

The course will be held upon reaching the minimum number of 8 participants.

Conditions of participation:

Participation fee for 1 day: €140,00 per participant

The participation fee includes:

  • Use of the school field.
  • Instructor and staff for the entire duration of the course.
  • Off-road excursion (depending on road and weather conditions).
  • Health insurance with card OVER + Valid AICS.

The participation fee does not include:

  • Meals and drinks.
  • Membership in the association OVER2000RIDERS to be done before the course.
  • Any item not included in “The participation fee includes”.

Details and conditions:

  • The organization reserves the right to exclude, for safety reasons, motorcycles that do not comply with the requirements suitable for the Adven tourism discipline.touring and use on natural roads, including the fitting of tyres not suitable for off-roading.roadParticipants are advised to check that their vehicle complies with the characteristics required to safely tackle the route.
  • Each participant must provide the necessary equipment to replace the inner tubes and, if necessary, repair the tubeless tires of their vehicle.
  • Appropriate clothing for off-road driving (boots, protection, etc.) and for possible climatic changes is essential.
  • For safety reasons, the presence of the passenger is not possible.
