The HAT PAVIA-SANREMO is a non-competitive touring adventure trip that combines the basic principles of adventouring, fun, friendship and a passion for off-road tourism.
But above all, thanks to its easy and accessible routes requiring a minimum of off-road riding experience, it is ideal to start approaching the world of adventouring, for those who want to start using their maxi-enduro on dirt roads in a challenging and high level event.
The HAT Pavia Sanremo is included in the AICS Motociclismo Adventouring 2021 calendar.
HAT PAVIA-SANREMO IN BRIEF:
- Dates: May 15-16
- Ideal event for those who want to start
- Departure from the Visconteo Castle of Pavia
- Routes: Classic (medium-easy / 450 km) and Discovery (easy / 390 km)
- VINTAGE formula (for motorcycles registered before 1984) – new
The program includes the familiar HAT formula with two routes: the DISCOVERY of about 390 km, shorter and less demanding than the CLASSIC, of about 450 km, which includes some more technical off-road sections without being too difficult. Roads however suitable for maxi-enduro motorcycles weighing over 150 kg (by regulation) also equipped with a 19-inch front wheel, as long as they are equipped with semi-knobby tires (type ANLAS CAPRA X) in good condition.
The Formula VINTAGE, of about 200 km on the Discovery route for the single day of Saturday, was designed to encourage the participation of almost vintage motorcycles (registration before 1984) with shorter times and distances so as not to put the dear vehicle too much under stress.
The CLASSIC and DISCOVERY Formulas include an overnight stop about halfway in Cairo Montenotte (SV), where a dinner will be organized for all participants. For the VINTAGE formula, the event will end with the dinner in Cairo M.
The program starts with the administrative checks from Friday afternoon at the central Piazza della Vittoria in Pavia, where a closed park will be set up and the briefing of the event will be held in the evening. The departure on Saturday will take place from the prestigious medieval Visconteo Castle, then moving along the streets of the historic city center. The tracks will continue along the banks of the river PO, and then cut southwards and continue towards Ovada. Here you will meet the first reliefs of the Ligurian-Piedmontese Apennines and the route will face its ups and downs up to Sassello and then to the arrival of Cairo Montenotte. The overnight stay in the area of Cairo M. is not taken care by the program and therefore should be by each participant. After the overnight stop the course will continue towards Altare, where the long dirt road of the Colla di San Giacomo will take the participants to Colle Melogno and then to the Garessio rest point. From there the passage over the Colle di Nava to Molini di Triora, and then the descent towards the sea to finally get to Sanremo.
The HAT PAVIA-SANREMO is an event registered on the official A.I.C.S. Adventouring 2021 calendar.
