ITINERARIES AND TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

The itineraries proposed by OVEr2000RIDERS They take place on a wide variety of tracks and road surfaces, using routes that wind along ex-military roads, farm roads and secondary dirt roads.

By their very nature, they are rarely used routes, leading to uncrowded places, sometimes retracing the paths of ancient communication routes, and often even the local inhabitants are unfamiliar with their exact location.

Many trails are difficult to find, either because they are disused and unmarked, or because others are no longer passable due to their poor condition and because they are subject to restrictions and access restrictions.

Generally the main route, the widths of the carriageway and the slopes of the road surface are easily manageable with modern multi-cylinder on- and off-road vehicles and the 4X4 off-road car.

There are often more technical variations to the route, which sometimes present the typical difficulties of off-roading and require consolidated technical skills such as: fords, steep climbs, challenging sections due to reductions in lane and altitude, uneven surfaces from stony to muddy.

All itineraries have been catalogued according to difficulty with a simple scale from 1 to 3:

1. Easy : smooth surface, wide, and gently sloping roads, free of obstacles that require pushing the vehicle by hand or with the assistance of a third party, and accessible even with a passenger. It's a route where you can spend a lot of time appreciating the scenery.

2. Medium: Often rocky and/or muddy terrain, sections with narrow lanes, steep climbs, and a surface subject to deterioration in adverse weather conditions. The route requires good vehicle control and driving training.

3. Challenging: Rocky and muddy terrain, fords, challenging uphill and downhill sections, often requiring decisive progress to overcome obstacles and road narrowings. Excellent vehicle control, extensive off-road experience, and the ability to withstand prolonged exertion at altitude are required. This route is for experienced riders who want to combine the pleasure of the journey with the technical challenges of driving.

The level of difficulty can vary for both motorcycles and cars on the same track.
