The philosophy of “leaving the main roads”
The philosophy of “getting off the beaten track” comes to fruition when you choose less traveled routes, far from the traditional routes. These roads, often overlooked by sports driving enthusiasts, are narrow, winding and rarely visited, except by locals. They wind through the hills, far from the main valleys, offering unexpected and unknown views.

To better align our offer with the format HAT and avoid possible misunderstandings related to the name “Bitumenduro”, born from an idea of ​​the late Nanni Tamiatto and developed together with Paolo Conta, who today continues to be part of the staff as creator of the routes and travel timetables.
Being the brand HAT mainly associated with off-road events, could be misleading, so we decided to rename this road-only category to HAT ROAD. This new name integrates with the other brands of the HAT Series, as HAT MARATHON, HAT ADVENTOURFEST, HAT LEGEND and HAT TRAVEL EXPERIENCE, offering a full range of experiences for motorcycle enthusiasts.

DISCOVERING
The new discipline of Discovering (discovery), closely related to Adventouring, aims to offer a unique experience, where exploration and curiosity become the heart of the adventure. It is not just about traveling different roads, but about embracing a new approach to motorcycle travel, made of continuous discovery and authentic contact with the places crossed. The Discovering is the opportunity to experience motorcycling as a personal journey, where every curve reveals something unexpected, and every route becomes an experience to remember.

After the successes of the past few years with Bitumenduro, we have decided to enrich the HAT ROAD with new and exciting routes, which will take us on unforgettable adventures in some of the most evocative locations.

Here is the calendar of events:

  • HAT ROAD Bobbio Adventourfest: April 12
  • HAT ROAD pedavena Adventourfest: May, 24th
  • HAT ROAD Ponte di Legno Adventourfest: 14 June
  • HAT ROAD Sestriere Adventourfest: 28 June

We will conclude this exciting season with an extraordinary marathon: the HAT ROAD 800, in line with the traditional Marathon HAT. This unique course, which will be held on 20 and 21 September, will start from Viareggio and it will end in Pavia, crossing breathtaking landscapes.

Furthermore, participants who will take part in at least three: HAT ROAD Adventourfest and will sign up for the HAT ROAD 800 receive a special recognition, as a testimony to their commitment and passion.

Get ready to live an unprecedented experience, designed for all motorcycling and adventure enthusiasts.

La HAT ROAD it is not a competition, but an authentic motorcycle adventure touring experience. Participation is designed to ensure maximum freedom: it is not mandatory to complete the entire route or pass through all the digital checkpoints. Each participant can decide at any time to shorten the route or withdraw.

There are no restrictions on the categories of motorcycles allowed. However, given the nature of the roads faced, supersport motorcycles are not recommended. HAT ROAD It is designed for those who love to experience driving in an adventurous way, on roads that are little-travelled and full of charm.

Each participant receives:

  • The GPX track of the route, in which WP and secret digital control points are inserted
  • A timetable with times and distances, provided for guidance purposes only.

The main objective of the event is to allow participants to live a unique experience, enjoying the route, the landscapes and the driving in total freedom. However, for those who want to reach the finish line by the end of the day, it is essential to follow the suggested travel times.

For participants who complete the entire track respecting all the checkpoints, a special recognition is foreseen: the 100% stamp – Marathon Prize, a symbol of commitment and determination.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
All participants will receive a certificate of participation. 

100% MARATHON PRIZE
Participants who complete the entire route, respecting all the secret checkpoints, will receive the prestigious stamp 100% MARATHON PRIZE, to be applied on the certificate of participation.

The organizers reserve the right to send the stamp in digital format after the conclusion of the event.
