Adven Tourismtourhing
The demonstrations and the aims
The circuit events Adven Tourismtourhing consist of motorcycle excursions of a tourist nature that have the specialty of tackling routes with frequent stretches of natural terrain (off-road). Their main objective is to develop a culture of motorcycle tourism that allows one to appreciate and enhance the cultural, environmental and historical aspects of the places and countries crossed.
The events are also aimed at raising awareness among participants on the issues of motorcycle safety, respect for the environment and those who share the same natural spaces. The personal skills of the riders are also valued, such as the psycho-physical condition while driving a motorcycle and those of orientation and navigation.
These motor events are therefore aimed at those who want to combine the technical aspect of conscious driving with that of travel and discovery, always with the aim of creating and developing a culture of "advanced and sustainable 360° motorcycle tourism".
Participation
These events are appropriately regulated by the AICS Motorcycling – National Sector, so to participate, a subscription is required, which can also be done when registering for the event.
Participation is defined for pre-established teams of two or three pilots and in some cases also individually, according to the Specific Regulations of the event. This rule follows the participatory spirit of the Turismo Adven circuit.touring also to ensure the best safety for the participants themselves.
Features of the motorcycles
This is a very particular and characteristic rule of the Turismo Adven circuit.tourIn fact, participation is permitted for all two-wheeled and four-wheeled motor vehicles (the latter if provided for by the RP of the event) in compliance with the Highway Code, multi-cylinder and single-cylinder with an unladen weight greater than 150 kg (detected from the manufacturer's technical data sheet), equipped with tyres suitable for natural terrain and in perfect technical working order.
Exceptions to this rule may be provided for in the specific regulations of each event.
Routes, duration and navigation
In the purest spirit of the discipline, the routes normally include departure from one location and arrival in another after a significant distance in kilometers (not less than 160 km per day) and over several days. The road surfaces are of all types, where the prevalence is given to the natural surface (off-road) which enhances the adventure characteristics of the discipline. Refreshment points are provided for participants. The events take place on routes that are open to normal traffic, therefore participants are required to comply with the rules of the Highway Code and all current provisions on the matter, including any ordinances of the competent Authorities for the territory of the locations crossed.
The route is normally indicated by GPS tracks, and in any case by a system that has no impact on the territory (so no arrows, painted signs, ribbons, etc.).
Participants can decide in complete autonomy to follow the indicated route or alternative routes to reach the point established for the arrival. Passage checks may be foreseen, which may be considered for a possible awarding of certification of the complete completion of the route.
Tourism
Tourist activities may be organised along the route, which provide participants with the opportunity to develop their knowledge of the area and enhance its specialities (photographic documentation, research of points of interest, orientation, etc.).
Furthermore, the organizers will provide participants with the most extensive existing tourist documentation collected from the institutions of the territories crossed.
